Rick Kaufmann's recent digital prints use experimental image capture with digitized photography. In the age of rapidly developing technology, he uses the computer to achieve a new artistic expression. The artist utilizes the computer and flat bed scanner to combine his paintings, drawings, photography and found objects to create art. This work continues to have its inspiration in Asian sensibilities and classic printmaking techniques. His work connects traditional representation of subject matter with new forms of media. The finished product showcases a heightened sensibility to organic forms.
